New Updates

|
The Coble Family have had a nice, restful break with a few periodic bookings through-out the previous months. The girls have grown quite considerably, they are almost as tall as Mom. Finding out who is the tallest is part of their daily routine; not once a day, but two or three times. They have also written several songs. Lucy has completed ten songs now and she continues to write on a daily basis.. ChristA has three songs that she has completed. They enjoy the opportunity throughout the day to pick up the guitars and go over their new material. Now if they can get their daddy to put the songs on disk.
With the holiday's over and our regular routine starting up again, we have been praying for God's direction, that we allow Him to lead and guide us in every aspect of our lives as well as our ministry in song. The calls have begun to fill the day and our schedule is beginning to fill up once again. Keep watch on the the website for upcoming dates.
God Bless You and Thank you for your interest in our families ministry.
We'll see you soon!

This year has proven to us that surprises still lurk around the corner. We are excited about all the doors that have opened up to us this year. There were many firsts for us. From our first time in Georgia and South Carolina to our first Bus, our first cruise, our first major project, etc. Its interesting how things take place in your life. When you have your goals set and then something during the completion of that goal turns up that wasn't factered in....it can truly upset everything around for that goal to be realized. But God is in control.
So here we are again, getting ready for the new year and our family has begun to pray for the will of the Lord in our lives for the coming year. Not only individually, but as well as family and then also the ministry.
This year as of last night we have had 29 souls come to call on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. This is very exciting for us as, our number one goal is seeing those who are lost, call on Jesus for salvation.

What a time we had this evening at the Alvarado Old Settlers Reunion in Alvarado, Texas. Gospel Night!!! This was the Second Annual Event for Gospel Night in many years. We had a really nice turn out. Other artists/ministries involved included: KingsRiver, Marvin Stewart, Jr., Shepherds Vessels, Brenda North, and others (Friends of the Reunion). We had a great time singing on stage together for the last 20 minutes of the program. I can't wait for next year.

For all those who listened Saturday, Aug. 10 to KSKY 660 AM radio - Thanks for your kind comments and for tuning in to hear some of the greatest Southern Gospel Artists in our local area with Lon Sosh and his guests (which included The Coble Family, Billy Grable, Ray Wadsworth for the first hour and then the Gospel Messengers from the Austin area the second hour)
We just arrived home from our Louisiana/Georgia/S.Caroline trip. This was our first time for to be in GA and SC. Everything was really neat. We hope to have some pictures available online in the near future. Here's a quick run down of our little adventure out of the area.
We left Friday morning for Ferriday, Louisiana to hear Ronnie Hinson in Concert. Talk about an awesome ministry. We thoroughly enjoyed his ministry in song, but was extremely blessed by how he brought the Word alive for everyone there. Later, after helping him load up, he invited us out to Shoney's for a late night supper. What a great evening. Then.....we headed on to Georgia, stopping off in Jackson, Mississippi for about 4 hours of sleep.
Our next stop: Evangel Temple PCG Church in Morrow, GA. We met Rev. Richter who has a great preachers website: www.preacherspage.com. We also met a young singing duet whose dad also runs a radio station. One of the girls is a DJ and she said they are a charting station and wanted to put "A Little Bit Closer" out for others in the area to hear. They are not live on the internet but have a website: WSSA1560.
Then to Anderson, SC. WOW! Talk about a beautiful place. The drive out there and back was just awesome. We were at Word of Truth A/G for the morning service and met several people from Texas. They had a lot of visitors that came out to hear us. Some said they came out because they were from Texas and just wanted to meet us.
Sunday Night, we were at First Assembly of God in Anderson, SC. We met an awesome Praise/Worship Team. The pastor, Rev. Phil Sears gave new meaning to hyper-activity - Mark Lowery, look out. We will be going back Oct. 2003 for the morning part of their Homecoming services.
We are home now and re-cooping. Though we enjoyed our visit to other states, it is good to be home. We look forward to seeing you soon a nearby concert or convention, etc...
God Bless

Hello Everyone
The Lord truly has blessed The Coble! Not only did we get 70% of equipment back (including the trailer) but enough funds have come in to help purchase new equipment and others have given us some of their's. Then the insurance company (who said we were not covered), sent us a check which finished off the amount of funds we need. Praise the Lord. He is so Good!
Also more good news. We have also purchased our first bus. We are very excited about it and have used it for the past two weeks. I will have more information on our official website very soon.
Please continue to remember us in your prayers. We are so greatful for all those who prayed for us and helped us in our time of need. It sure helped build our faith.
Keep that light a'shinin' for Jesus....

Mc Rae, Arkansas
We had a wonderful time in Revival at Mc Rae. It was good to see our nephew and his family from Kentucky; What a blessing to see them. The people of Mc Rae have become part of our family. We truly miss them. Many churches from all denominations were represented throughout the week.

The Coble Family has been very busy this past month. We have met lots of new church families, gone into new areas of our ministry. God is so good. We have really enjoyed the services God has blessed us with. There is excitement in the air. Things are happening, people are falling under conviction and getting saved. This is our prayer - that those who do not know the Lord as Saviour will make that decision while we are there. We pray that we can help others see that Jesus is the only way.
Thanks again - Smile, God Loves You!

Southern Charm debuted there new CD
We had the wonderful privilege of going to the Granbury Opry to hear "Southern Charm" debute their newly released CD, "Memory Lane". What a wonderful time. Those ladies kept us on the edge of our seats as we cried and laughed with them. It's always great to hear new songs that truly minister to the heart, the depth of the situation. Many songs on their new album will surely bless and minister to many hearts and lives. I know we were blessed by the songs sung tonight. This truly was a great family night.
Also, congratulations to Don & Judy Earley for one of their songs to also be apart of the album.

Lucy & ChristA's favorite past time
Did you see the Ft. Worth Star Telegram? Sports section, Runners. Lucy and ChristA ran in the Cowtown Marathon, Relay,10K and 5K race. They both ran the 5K and had very good times. Lucy came in 71 overall with about 5000 people running in the 5k and she received 5th place in her age bracket with a time of 26.11. ChristA ran a 30.26 and for once was competing against her sister. The Cowtown Marathon is the largest race for kids in America
We saw Gary Allen there with his daughter who also enjoys running. Good luck to all you runners out there. Keep up the good work. Remember though, that the true race we should be running is that for Christ.

Hello once again. Whew! How time flies. A very, belated Happy New Year to you and yours.
The Lord is truly blessing the Coble Family Ministries. Not only are we staying very busy, but we have signed with Song Vineyard Music Group in Nashville, Tennessee. We will be recording our first project in March. Y'all be sure to pray for us as we go in there. We will be learning new songs and arrangements that same week.
Then in April we will be apart of Lakeway Music Production in Ft. Worth, Texas. This will be a great night for the family. Seventeen groups will be represented for both Friday and Saturday's Concert. Saturday will be a night to remember. It will be taped live for Video and CD/cassette. For ticket sales, contact us on pricing and specials.
Also, we are STILL looking for a bus!
We would also like to say thanks to all those we have met while traveling. It is such a joy to go from church or concert venue to another and have the privilege of being part of the same expectancy as those around us for our Lord's Saving Grace and His return. Aren't you excited about that great day when He calls us Home. I am. But that also brings up the fact that we must get on the ball and start spreading the Word about salvation and Christ's return. Don't let one stone go unturned. Remember that you may be planting the seed, or watering it, but it is God that brings the increase. Every soul won to Christ is a soul saved from destruction and seperation from Him.
Let's work together to bring the lost to Christ. To show them the peace and hope they can possess with accepting Jesus as Lord of their life.
Until Next time,
We'll keep the light on,

We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday. We had a wonderful time with our family this year.
Now on to the rest of this holiday season - Christmas! :)
This month can become very hectic as we shop and prepare. Just remember the Reason for the Season - Jesus Christ. No matter what you sing or say you cannot get away from speaking of His resurrection when you speak of His Birth. How awesome and loving our God is!
Friday evening was Cleburne's Christmas Parade. It was so neat seeing all the floats that portrayed the message of Christ. The girls (Paul and I too) had a great time. The weather was perfect!
Bethel Temple, our home church sent it's choir to Paris, Texas to put on a Christmas Cantata this Saturday. They did such a wonderful job. We are so blessed to be apart of this church family.
We then drove on up to Wilburton, Oklahoma for Sunday morning Services. They just built a beautiful fellowship hall and dedicated it that morning. We were privileged to be apart of this event.
Of course for Sunday night we had to drive through Ice and Snow to get to Glory Hill Assembly in Oklahoma. (Ice and Snow are small communities in Oklahoma). I just love the play on words.
Remember: Instead of God bless America - It's time that America Bless God!!!

Sorry for not bringing an update for quite sometime now. We have been very busy on the road. In fact, we are gone from home most of the time, Praise the Lord. We have seen several souls come to the Lord and many rededicate their lives.
I just want to say a big thanks to everyone who has been praying for us. I was just notified that a dear sister in the Lord, in Arkansas went to be with Jesus this past Friday morning. It was mentioned to me that she had a prayerlist of those she prayed for continually. Our name was on that list. It sure gives a humble feeling when such reports come our way. We are so blessed to have family, friends and soon to become friends praying for us. It really brings encouragement our way.
A quick update on all the happenings lately.
We went to Kentucky for the National Quartet Convention and had a great time. From Tuesday afternoon's Radio Interview on 770 am to Wednesday morning's, "HeavenSound Showcase". Though during the whole setting everyone had on their mind the tragedy that had struck our nation. The evening concerts were outstanding......
Then to Abilene, Texas for the SGMA of Texas' Convention. Lucy brought home the award for Youth Musician of the Year while ChristA came home with Youth Female Vocalist of the year. Humbly, the Coble Family received the Natalie Dawn Award presented by the Tom Ellis Family.
We now have a new mailinglist setup for daily receipt of the Thought for the Day, Devotionals, Discussions, etc... come by our official website and check it out.
God Bless You and Thank you for coming by and checking out what is going on with the Coble Family.
Keep shining your light for Jesus!!!!

We got an unexpected call Friday night from the pastor at First Assembly of God in Alvarado, Texas who was feeling under the weather and asked us to come minister for Sunday's services. It was very unusual for us to have that Sunday morning open. ONLY GOD KNOWS!! We have placed this ministry into the hands of God. Our prayer is for Him to place us where we need to be at the right time and at the right place. God knows who's going to show up to church and when!!! Again, Everything is in God's hands. We had very good morning which Paul had the opportunity to bring the message. He spoke on compassion. One of the examples he used was helping someone who had a flat on the side of the road; your going to miss the buffet for lunch if you don't hurry; SOoooo, you're torn between helping the one stranded and eating. What are you going to do?
You'll never guess what happened to us. After Sunday morning services, we had to leave immediately for Paris, Texas for the evening service at Pathway Church of God. We decided it would be best to wait until we reached Greenville, Texas before we ate lunch. This way the Sunday rush would have died down. We ate at "Ryan's Restaurant" (we ate to much as usual). As we were walking out of Ryan's we noticed this lady who had left several minutes before us walking back to the restaurant. As we looked over to our truck, there was an elderly gentleman lifting the trunk lid to his car and pulling out a spare tire. YOU GOT IT! The girls and I got into the truck where it was cool and Paul went over and helped the man change his tire.
Do you know we still made it to the church right on time. In fact, we waited a few minutes before the Pastor and his wife arrived. You know it's God that is putting you to the test when you can still arrive on time and then turn right around and have an awesome concert & then an awesome alter services.
It's great to be a christian.......If your not and would like to talk with us, call us or email us as soon as possible. Can't wait to see people come to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ and turn their lives over to the Savior. How better it is to be cleansed from all unrighteousness and from all our sin. Washed clean by the blood of the Lamb and then be presented to the Father as a chosen vessel ready to grow, mature and to be used in whatever ministry aspect he calls us into.
Remember, God loves you so much that He gave His only Son just for you. Live your life today as if Christ were standing right next to you - Of course Christ will stand with us through thick and thin. He will not leave us nor forsake us. He will stick to you closer than a brother.
Thank you for taking the time to keep up with our events. Until next time..Shine your light for Christ!

The Coble Family enjoyed a wonderful day on Wednesday, July 4th. We enjoyed our time together just relaxing, truck shopping & buying. Then we had the wonderful privelege of singing in Azle at Sonshine Ministries Retreat Center. There were approximately 2000 people on the premises. Due to a no show and a change in the program we had the opportunity to come up for a second set and closed the concert part out. They ended the evening singing, "I pledge allegience to the Lamb" and then a massive amount of fireworks which lit-up the sky for about 20 minutes to an old John Phillips Sousa tune. There were several representatives from various organizations represented there from Promise Keepers to the Azle Ministerial Alliance, etc... plus many churches came together to put this project on. The retreat center held a very high standard making the atmosphere perfect for the family. It was also very well organized. Thumbs up to the staff of Sonshine Ministries and the Azle Ministerial Alliance; This being the 9th Annual "Follow the Flag" program. Also, thank you to all our friends who came out to be with us. It was great seeing everyone (old and new alike) God Bless You all, we can't wait to see you at our upcoming concert.

It's so nice to live in Texas! The weather can never be predicted. One minute its pretty, nice breeze and the sun is shining; The next minute a storm has blown in from somewhere bringing not only thunder & lightening, but hail and large amounts of rain. When things are set-up outside, it makes for an exciting few minutes trying to get everything covered up and moved inside. This is what happened in Garland on June 29th. We still had a good time though. It was good to see some friends of ours there also.
6/30: Calvary Baptist, Mt. Vernon - We certainly had a good time of singing and fellowship at this church. Now this is what I call a singing. It was so easy to sing and worship the Lord here. Wiley Baptist came over to visit also. Several came to the altars for prayer afterwards. We just had a wonderful time in the Lord.
Sunday 7/1: First Assembly of God, Mt. Pleasant - We certainly had a good time of worship here. Pastor White brought a very timely message Sunday morning and then Sunday night was the concert. Again, we had a wonderful time getting to know the brothers & sisters of this congregation.
Be sure to keep an eye on our happenings page for pictures of our van. We now have the privilege of driving from location to location in comfort.
Also, Lucy now has her own personal kids webpage along with her thought page which is coming soon. (ChristA's is coming along and will be ready to publish soon. The link will be located on www.thecoblefamily.com just click on "The Coble Girls"
God Bless You All......

We would like to thank Steve Miller for calling us to be apart of his singing at Tabernacle Baptist in Rendon, Texas. What a marvelous time we had. Enjoyed hearing The Southern Joy Quartet for the first time. Soloist, Rocky Williams set the stage for the night as he opened up the concert. What a powerful concert it was. It was a very lively night. We couldn't have asked for a better atmosphere as it was tonight. God definantly receives the glory. His presence was prevalent throughout the whole evening.
We had several friends show up for the night....It's always good to see everyone from time to time.
Remember to Keep your Focus on Jesus. Get into the word and be in prayer. That next soul your life witnesses to could be the difference on where they spend eternity.
We Love you and if you need special prayer, etc...don't hesitate to e-mail us with your request. We have prayer partners who join in with us to pray for specific needs in the body of Christ. Again, thank you for taking the time to read our updates.....Stay tuned, there's sure to be more on the way.
